Look what turned up at 7:30am this morning! As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it... I havn't had time to clean it up or anything yet, but apart from a few small missing pieces it all works fine.
It comes from (or was at least made at the same time as) the display in Hamley's, London in the Summer of 1989. You can see an article in the 'Bricks 'n' Pieces' magazine that Richard highlighted earlier here:
Like other display models the limbs are held on with wing-nut fixings which can be tightened and loosened to allow different poses. The pistol is removable and is Red because Brown bricks were not used a lot at the time.

Well look at that!!! I'm so glad it was you that won it. It was £14.99 for quite a while - and i was going to bid, then it went up and up and up. She's gone to a very good home. Just one question - how are the eyes and lips done? Are they stickers or painted on?
Good for you.
Thanks, she will definelty have a good home and I already have pland to build some of her pirate friends!
The eyes and lips are stuck on. They are made of thin vinyl by the looks of it, so are pretty hard wearing even though there is some damage to the lips. I can imagine if it was painted that there wouldn't be much left of it!
